At the beginning of the eclipse, it was clouded, but the period when the sun looks like a ring -it was about 4 minutes,- there are no clouds on the sun! It was like a magic. I am very happy to see the rare phenomenon. This makes me think deeply about the mystery of the astronomy. And I think this was a great opportunity for children to be interested in nature.
This picture was a hot topic on Twitter after the eclipse so some of you might have seen it. Isn't it beautiful?
DON’T THROW THE GLASSES AWAY!
YOU CAN USE THEM ON JUNE 6TH !
On June 6th, there is a rare astronomical phenomenon again. Venus will pass in front of the sun on that day. And this is actually much rarer than the annular solar eclipse.
Let’s enjoy this mysterious event with your “fashionable” solar glasses.

Of course, I did! But I couldn't see it perfectly:( And I'm looking forward to watching next rare phenomenon with my facionable glasses!!

ReplyDeleteI wanna see the next phenomenon too!
Hi Makiko, this is Ms. MacGregor. Your blog was interesting and I love the cool illustration - thanks! And thank you for the advice about our next solar viewing chance on June 6. Will we be able to see it in Tokyo? Please comment with more information about it - including the time, and where I can check up on it. yoroshiku!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the late reply!!!
DeleteToday is already the day! The day you can watch Venus passing in front of the sun!
But don't worry. I heard that you would be able to see it for a long time, like from 7 a.m. to about 2 p.m..
But the problem is the weather... It's 7 in the morning right now but it rains a bit and very cloudy so that you can't even see the sun...
